In June 2016, chef Shiori Arai together with his partner Flora Choi opened their namesake restaurant in Berlin-Mitte, serving exquisite kaiseki-style menus to only 10 guests per evening. Deeply committed to the omakase, or chef’s choice,  philosophy, each menu features a series of seasonal dishes that draw on locally sourced ingredients and Japanese preparation techniques to highlight peak freshness.

Setting the restaurant’s intimate and deeply personal atmosphere, dinner is served over a single counter straight out of the open kitchen and on artisanal ceramics from Japanese and Korean pottery studios.

One year after official opening, Sheila was brought aboard to hone and drive communication across all channels. True to the restaurant’s deeply personal atmosphere, we developed a PR and social media strategy that helped build and bolster Shiori’s reputation both in Berlin and abroad.
